Mathematics
Aligned with standards set by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Concordia University's Mathematics program emphasizes teaching strategies and practices that address developmental learning, proficiency acquisition, problem solving and the demonstration of understanding in mathematics for all children.
Coursework is designed for K-12 and community college teachers who want to increase their knowledge and skills in mathematics instruction to help their students better learn and understand the foundational concepts. Coursework includes:
- Learning and Teaching Measurement and Geometry
- Learning and Teaching Algebraic Concepts, Data Analysis and Probability
- Transformative Mathematics in the Differentiated Classroom
In addition, students can apply what they learn more quickly to their classrooms because this program takes just a year to complete. In that time, students enjoy the flexibility of online coursework while still receiving a rigorous, quality education.
